- BlackBerry Cuts the BES 10 Corporate CAL Licenses to Only $19 MSRP Per Year!
BlackBerry has just announced that they have slashed their corporate CAL license fees for BES 10 to $19/year which is only $1.60/year per device. That is some great news for the 19,000 commercial and test BES 10 servers that have been installed since launch. As far as I can tell these licenses are for BlackBerry 10 devices only but I think BlackBerry should definitely offer this pricing for Android and iOS too. This is especially so since BlackBerry is already giving away away a corporate level CAL with every BlackBerry 10 activated smartphone and it will help build their base in the MDM community.

Right on the heels of a 10.2 OS leak we have a leak of OS 10.1.0.4828 for all BlackBerry 10 devices. This is another line update that should bring some bug fixes to the 10.1 line if you have not made the plunge to 10.2. Kudos to the BerryLeaks team on CrackBerry forums again for this one. Make sure to follow the instructions to the T for it to work properly. We take no responsibility at all if anything happens to you or your device.

Just a quickie that we missed from early in the weekend. BlackBerry has updated Facebook for legacy BlackBerry devices to version 4.1.0.18 in the BlackBerry Beta Zone. Nothing really changed except for UI improvements and the ability to check-in if you do that thing. Check it out in the BlackBerry Beta Zone.

The crew over at ETradeSupply has long be selling BlackBerry 10 and older parts for repair and replacement. They usually are one of the first to get the replacement parts in stock and show them off. Now they have put together the basic steps needed to disassemble the BlackBerry Z10 to repair common items like a cracked screen, busted speaker, or broken charging port. You can always count on Dubai for some decked out gadgetry. The Official BlackBerry Middle East Twitter account (via BBNews.pl) pointed out the new white and gold BlackBerry Q10 on sale in Dubai. It is available now in the Dubai Mall BlackBerry Store. No word on price but it actually looks slick!
