- Bestbuy and Futureshop Canada have 16GB Playbook on sale for $149.99 until August 23
Good morning everyone. It seems the effects of the halt in the production of the 16GB Playbook has finally arrived as retailers in Canada are beginning the Double Fire Sale of the 16 GB unit. Bestbuy.ca and Futureshop.ca both have the 16GB model for sale at a super low price or $149.99. Given that we know BB10 is coming to the Playbook and that it will run relatively well, this is an absolute steal of a price. I for one am going to buy one for my father in-law and might even buy a second for the wife. 150 bucks! Crazy!

This week RIM started a the first of a series of three technical focused webinars on BlackBerry Mobile Fusion. These cover the more technical parts of Mobile Fusion including the installation process and key management tools. Its free Q&A for you to see how it is done and what the best practices are. The first one happened on August 15th and was focused on a platform overview. The second one is a walkthrough of installing Mobile Fusion and the Universal Device Service with the last one covering the BlackBerry Device Service.

Переслать - Monitor Network Activity on Your PlayBook With Network Monitor
I didn't even know this was possible but Dmytro Mishchenko let us know about his new PlayBook app that monitors network activity. The app is called Network Monitor and shows you real time network activity on your PlayBook showing you what systems and countries applications are communicating with. I am not sure what you would use this for but still it is pretty cool to see what is going on behind the scenes.
Features include
- Shows established, recently closed connections, and open sockets.
- Resolves servers IP addresses to names.
- Provides Country information.
- Build a graph on network activity displaying sent and received packets.
