BlackBerry has confirmed yet another BlackBerry 7 device coming this year and it seems like it is the BlackBerry 9720. It was spotted passing through the GFC (UK version of the FCC) this week by RapidBerry. It was then caught on camera by the ThaiBBClub. Now it has been caught on video by the BerryInsider below:

I am not sure what is taking Sprint so long to get their act together but they have really fumbled their BlackBerry 10 launch. First they passed on the Z10 by supposedly favoring the upcoming A10. Then they failed to release the Q10 when everyone else did. Thankfully Engadget caught wind that Sprint is finally going to open up pre-order shipping on August 30th with the Q10 hitting other channels like retail stores on September 30th. I wonder what is taking Sprint months to release this device…

While on the lookout for slim cases at affordable prices to protect the BlackBerry Z10, we came across the i-blason Apache Series case. Made like a standard hard casing, it snaps on to the BlackBerry Z10 with ease. This case is similar to that hard case found in the Original BlackBerry Z10 Flip Case or the BlackBerry Z10 Transformer Case.
In this case, evidently missing was the buttons for the media control. Unlike the other cases, which came with silicon/rubber buttons to cover the buttons, this opted to have a cut out for the buttons instead.
Also featured is the left side where cutouts are present for the HDMI and usb ports.
The Apache series case only covers the sides properly, hence, the top and bottom might seem and feel a little too exposed. Unlike the other cases I have seen, this is probably the most similar to that of the BlackBerry Transformer case, minus the ability to “transform” into a stand.
However, what scores for this case is the textured back. The back, being so textured, gives the case so much more grip than the competition. As some of you might point out, this seems to have taken a leaf of the the BlackBerry Z10′s battery door, whose design is similar. However, what I miss from this was the omission of the BlackBerry logo for my BlackBerry Pride.
To add on, the protection given to the screen can also be seen, where the bezel is slightly raised so the device doesn’t touch the surface or ground where it is face down. However, the fact that it is not snug fit or very tightly clinging onto the device, I won’t be sure that it will stay on the device on a hard impact.
The red we received, is red. The red seems to be rather toned, pretty similar to maroon red, which was a very nice shade of red for both genders. Check out its comparison to a Coca-cola can:
Overall, this case is indeed a very minimalist case, priced at us$9.95 from i-blason, the case is pretty well worth the money, without introducing too much bulk to your device. Available in 4 colours, Black, Brown, Red and white, this case would probably fulfill the desire for those on a budget.

The BlackBerry A10 (codename Aristo) just can't get enough of the limelight. It has not been announced yet and we already know quite a bit about the device. The latest to leak is a couple more photographs of the device courtesy of @nvthanh1994 (via CrackBerry). The device is looking nice but check it out for yourself!

T-Mobile launched an interesting JUMP early upgrade program a few weeks back. Now both AT&T and Verizon have announced similar plans but with one main difference. both AT&T and Verizon plan on essentially charging you twice for the device subsidy while T-Mobile has the decency to only charge you once. This is just another case of BOHICA by the two largest carriers in the US.
Essentially T-Mobile is charging users a down payment and then breaking up the rest of the device cost over the year for their new much cheaper unsubsidized plans. Then they are offering a combined JUMP plan that includes insurance and the ability to switch phones for $10 a month. AT&T and Verizon on the other hand plan on both charging you for the phones in installments while they have not reduced the cost of their phone and data plans that already build in $10-$20 a month in device subsidies. In other words they are charging you twice and hoping you are stupid enough not to notice.

My friend Tamas at @BerryBlog managed to catch this shot of Alberto Contador last week during the Tour de France. He caught The Contador listening to music on his white Z10 during the telecast. It just makes me wonder what he was listening to on his workout mix… Either way that is some nice promo time.

We have been consistently seeing replacement parts for BlackBerry 10 devices leaking before the launch. The latest is from eTradeSupply showing off the BlackBerry 10 screen and touch digitizer for the BlackBerry A10. They also spotted the back cover with the Verizon logo on it. The battery door has a more solid feel than the Samsung style though it is made of plastic. On top and bottom of the battery door there are also three holes for the speaker which is different than the Z10's 1 vent. Possibly due to this device being more targeted at media playback.
