- Viber Releases PC & Mac Desktop VoIP Calling With BlackBerry 10 Still Coming
Viber recently released their VoIP calling app for legacy BlackBerry devices allowing voice calling and they have promised a follow up for BlackBerry 10. Now they have extended their network further with the launch of desktop versions of their app for Windows and Mac PC's. Currently that allows for Desktop to Desktop video calls but more in coming. It also still uses your phone number as your ID. Features include:
- Seamlessly transfer calls between Viber Desktop and the Viber app with one click or tap
- Received and Sent messages are shown on all devices, but will only "beep" on the device you are currently using
- Messages and conversations you delete from one device will be removed from all devices
Check out the details over at www.viber.com and hopefully they hit the gas on that Viber BlackBerry 10 client.

EA is on a roll bringing their games to BlackBerry 10. Their latest hit to be released is Dead Space for BlackBerry 10. Sadly once gain EA is charging users who already purchased the game on the PlayBook but that is all up to the developer.

Переслать - Free KeePass Password Manager Gets Promising Native Port to BlackBerry 10
KeePass is a very popular open source password manager that I have been using on my PC for awhile. Dan Samargiu has created a native port of the KeePass app bringing it to BlackBerry 10 though it is in a pretty basic form right now. It allows you to open KeePass v1.x password database files (though not the newer v2.x databases). It right now gives you only read only access but you can sync the file to your desktop using DropBox. This is a promising new port with the following features currently:
This Native port includes:
- Read only access to KeePass 1.x Databases
- Dropbox Integration for syncing across devices
- Easy Search functionality to find your passwords.
- Copy to Clipboard for username and password.
- Browser Integration. Easy one-click access to stored URL’s (Launches in BlackBerry Browser through Invocation Framework)
- Database automatically locks when minimized for more than 30 seconds. (Configurable in settings)
Dan also set an ambition roadmap including:
- Write access to KeePass 1.x Databases
- Password’s sorted in groups. (Currently, all passwords are shown in one list)
- Edit/Create New forms.
- Password Generation for Edit/Create New forms.
- Read & Write access for KeePass 2.x Databases
Check out KeePass for BlackBerry 10 (both Q10 and Z10) free in BlackBerry World
Thanks Ofutur for the tip!

Переслать - BlackBerry R10 Caught On Camera Yet Again With Non-Removable Battery
We heard rumors before that the BlackBerry R10 lower end model would not have a removable battery like the current BlackBerry 10 device. We confirmed with sources that the first pre-production model of the R10 did have a removable battery and this second model does not have one. This is shown off in the latest pictures of the Q10 that BBIN managed to scrounge up. It is also compared to the BlackBerry Bold 9900 and other devices in pictures to give you a better idea of how it looks. Let us know what you think!
